About the project
The Tinderbox restaurant is a vibrant pizza bar that connects to and activates the existing laneway parallel with James Street with a new extension and covered outdoor area.
The Tinderbox restaurant creates a new experience and urban destination within the James Street Precinct. The process of making pizza is celebrated as part of the dining experience; the focal point of the interior is the wood fired pizza oven, expressed in a 4.5m high coneshaped zinc shroud with viewing windows, sitting within the double height interior.
