About the project
This 30,000 sqm mixed use vertical retirement living and aged care facility is to be constructed on the site of the former Gold Coast Public Hospital at Southport. The project is part of a major mixed use urban renewal of the entire site.
Ground level will be activated by street edge retail and a retail arcade connecting the various residential entries to the remainder of the site. Two level 72 bed residential aged care facility and car parking is accommodated within the podium. The residential aged care provide a mix of standard rooms and premium rooms. Two levels of premium one bed room assisted living apartments are located above the aged care.
A varying of landscaped recreation spaces are provided throughout the podium for the residents and their families.
A stepped tower above the podium contains 144 retirement living apartments designed to achieve a Livable Housing Design Guideline gold rating. A range of one bed, two bed and three bed apartments are provided. All apartments have commanding views of the ocean, waterways and the Gold Coast Hinterland.
