About the project

Queensland Treasury Corporation is the Queensland Government’s central financing authority which plays a pivotal role in securing the States’s financial success.

Conrad Gargett was engaged to design QTC’s new 3000sq/m office at 111 Eagle Street. It was through an intense and collaborative design process with QTC which comprised of vision workshops, interviews, focus groups, aesthetic briefings, change management and communication strategies that the design reflected the original brief set by QTC which was to create a ‘elegant, timeless, modern and light’ workspace.

High quality staff amenities and a functional design was created to promote a positive, flexible and productive working environment for the staff. This also supports QTC’s business operations and their interactions with clients. The design encourages interaction and collaboration through quiet zones, formal and informal meeting zones, staff breakout and an interconnecting stairs between two levels, all within a design language that reflected the QTC brand and brief.
