About the project
Pendle Hill Public School is one of a group of five schools in the Parramatta region that have been grouped together by SINSW for concurrent design and delivery. Conrad Gargett developed a kit of parts approach to the design of the schools. Key parts of the buildings were standardized.
The repetition maximized efficiency and minimized cost across the ground, while allowing enough flexibility for each school to be considered as an individual response to site and community.
The upgrade at Pendle Hill Public School includes a new building with thirteen new home bases, a new library and upgraded administration facilities.
The new learning facilities provide state of the art flexible learning spaces that will support contemporary teach models. The connected learning spaces combined share practical activity areas with circulation spaces, creating a new collaborative environment.
