About the Project
This project involved the refurbishment of the existing processing and packaging facility for Heinz – Golden Circle in Northgate, Brisbane. The project included removal of existing Tetra packaging lines and implementation of new VISY lines and robotic packaging units. New processing facilities constructed ranged from mixing, pasteurisation, and control rooms along with associated tank farms.
Conrad Gargett (formerly as ABM Architects) led the co-ordination role along with collating design and documentation from the consultant team and manufacturers nationwide. Virtual tours of the plant were produced in a live environment with the client and their stakeholders present. This process enabled front loading of design elements which streamlined the construction process. The Virtual Model was useful during construction, briefing metalworkers and explaining the complexity of gantry pipe compositions.
