About the project
Orientated north, the new general learning areas, laboratories and a design studio are woven into a two level facility for the Glenala State High School.
This new facility is located on a clearly defined strategic spine linking the arrival with the recreational learning spaces. The journey delivers the students at an arrival node where access along the veranda's provides an open, safe and clearly defined environment. The building form is sympathetic to the surrounding context and existing schools built environment through the adoption of materials which are durable and low maintenance.
