About the project
Conrad Gargett and Bates Smart (Bates Smart + Conrad Gargett) have been engaged as the architects for the $1.1B Frankston Hospital redevelopment in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
The redevelopment, which has commenced construction, is set to transform Frankston Hospital, delivering a new 12-storey clinical services tower, 15 new operating theatres, expanded women’s and children’s services, new mental health and oncology services, new inpatient units and a new medical imaging department.
The design adopts a people-centric approach to unifying the campus by maximising green space and enhancing connections to nature, daylight and fresh air to create a sense of calm and enable better health outcomes.
