About the project
The new workplace fitout facilitates the co-location of two departments within the Federal Government. Extensive user group consultation informed the design brief and shaped the design response to include office appropriate, meeting, staff and breakout spaces.
The planning is efficient, innovative and well considered to achieve the work points required within the benchmarked aesthetic. It offers flexibility, connectivity and collaboration while being fresh and lively in palette.
Space within the tenancy didn’t permit some ‘wholeteam’ functions the client needed to perform in ways they had typically. This forced spaces like the waiting and breakout space to take on mixed functionality to lend themselves to different uses within the fitout.
Users note a feeling of space and openness unlike their other ‘like’ office environments evidencing the success of the project for the employees.
