About the project
The Defence Logistics Transformation Program (DLTP) comprises new and refurbished facilities and infrastructure for the Lavarack Barracks Army Base in Townsville, home to the Australian Army’s 3rd Brigade and one of the Australian Defence Force’s largest bases.
The project consolidates the wholesale logistics functions of North Queensland to Lavarack Barracks. The works include a new Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) Headquarters Facility, General Storage Warehouse, Dangerous and Hazardous Goods Storage, Loan and Repair Pool Facility, Land Material Maintenance Workshop and Electronic Instrument and Radio Repair (EIR) Facility, Mounting Base Facility, Weapons Test Fire Facility and Foodstuffs Storage and Preparation.
