About the project
Located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, the Bowral Hospital has existed for over a hundred years and the campus has grown and evolved extensively in that time.
Conrad Gargett (formerly MSJ) were initially commissioned to complete a master plan for major development through a staged demolition and new build process.
The first stage of a new Critical Care building is now under construction, and the continuation of planning for a further $55m redevelopment to enhance ambulatory care and support services is underway.
The built form, materials and orientation of the new Hospital responds to the established landscape on the site.
Delivery of a new clinical services building with improved patient and staff amenities, new operating theatres, adult & paediatric inpatient wards, birthing suites, more single rooms with ensuites, new rehabilitation spaces and a new hospital main entrance.
