About the project
The design of the 240 Queen Street Workplace for Conrad Gargett’s own studio is situated within a 26-level commercial building in the heart of Brisbane.
The space boasts a spectacular outlook along major view corridors within the city with the open-plan work areas orientated accordingly, providing staff uninterrupted access to the outside world. Large workstation spaces, with minimal privacy screening allows the office to operate in a transparent manner and encourages collaboration. Unlike a traditional corporate model, work settings are offset from the external glass line allowing access and circulation to occur at the building edge.
Formal and informal team meeting areas located around the tenancy perimeter as well as adjacent to work stations are always in use and foster higher levels of communication and teamwork. A central break-out area is provided as a flexible space in the studio for activities such as large gatherings and presentations, informal meetings, collaborative design reviews and staff recreation.
