Laura takes a keen interest in the collaborative approach to design that underpins her work. She focuses on creating a built environment that is respectful, purposeful, intelligent, and beautiful for our changing communities and future.
Known for fostering great client relationships from the start of a design journey, she helps teams navigate complex briefs, keeps projects running smoothly, and achieves design excellence and value for clients.
Her specialist expertise in the Defence sphere covers everything from the development of business cases, feasibility studies, and master plans of highly-complex capability and redevelopment projects through to the delivery of these projects, including managing gateways and government approval processes. Working with a range of government stakeholders, Laura navigates the design process with differing drivers, managing risk and ensuring the effectiveness of team deliverables.
Her portfolio includes leadership of key projects for the RAAF Bases at Williamtown, Darwin, and Richmond as well as the Defence Establishment Orchard Hills. She has also completed the business case for RAAF Base Wagga, HMAS Albatross, and the Albury Wodonga Military Area.
Laura has served as NSW Chapter President for the Australian Institute of Architects and is the immediate past president and a board member of the NSW Architects Registration Board. She continues to invest in the next generation of architects through her work as Practice Examiner for the Architects Registration Board and as Panel Assessor for the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia.
