Queensland Children’s Hospital scoops international design and health awards

Australia has shown it continues to set a global benchmark for the design of children’s hospitals with the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital by Conrad Gargett Lyons winning four awards at the prestigious 2015 Design & Health International Academy Awards held in Hong Kong on July 18.
The most awarded project of the night, the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital was judged to be the overall winner of Salutogenic Design Project for Healthcare environment.
The hospital was also highly commended in the category of International Health Project (over 40,000ms), Use of Art in Public and Private Spaces and Interior Design Project.
“To gain the highest accolades from the International Academy of Design and Health in so many categories for the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital is an outstanding success for Australia and for the Conrad Gargett Lyons team” said Bruce Wolfe, Managing Director, Conrad Gargett.
The awards were held as part of the Design and Health 11th Wold Congress and exhibition. Held in Hong Kong from 15-19 July, the congress provided a valuable opportunity for industry experts from over 40 countries to engage in a series of discussions on the future of global healthcare and design.
