Conrad Gargett’s Director Laura Cockburn Appointed as the Australian Institute of Architects (NSW Chapter)’s Vice President

The NSW Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects has appointed Conrad Gargett’s Director Laura Cockburn as their new Vice President.

President of the Australian Institute of Architects (NSW Chapter) Kathlyn Loseby announced, “I congratulate Conrad Gargett’s Laura Cockburn on her appointment as Chapter Vice President.”

Laura stated, “With privilege I accept this appointment and look forward to supporting Kathlyn in her role as President of the Chapter, contributing to our industry and advocating on behalf of our members and the broader community.”

Laura is a registered Architect with a Bachelor of Architecture attained from the University of Technology Sydney, and as a Director of Conrad Gargett, leads the practice’s Sydney studio. She has significant experience in leading large complex projects and fostering strong client relationships. Laura focuses on the collaborative approach to design that underpins Conrad Gargett’s work across a diverse range of property sectors and scales. Her work with AIA on committees, as ARB practice examiner and past mentor for NAWIC have culminated in her current role as Chapter Councillor and Vice President of the NSW Chapter Council.
