CGR Supports the Property Council of Australia’s BEMPQ Conference

Conrad Gargett Riddel played a lead role in supporting the Property Council of Australia’s Built Environment Meets Parliament Queensland (BEMPQ) Conference as the only architectural session sponsor.
The conference, held in March, offered an opportunity for Queensland parliamentarians and industry leaders to explore the economic, social and environmental issues that influence Queensland’s prosperity. It also examined the changing role of the Queensland Government in delivering better outcomes for our built environment.
The conference sessions focused on:
- Delivering infrastructure in a funding challenged environment
- The role of planning as a strategic tool in the promotion of appropriate economic development in the current climate of planning reform
- Government as expert client – Procurement and design quality
- Places for people -Measurable sustainability in a constrained economy
The event was a great success with industry leaders, parliamentarians and audience members alike valuing the opportunity to engage in a joint discussion concerning the future of our state’s built environment.
