Conrad Gargett in partnership with Tract Consultants have been engaged by Townsville City Council to prepare a development study for the adaptive re-use of the historic North Rail Yards. The proposal resolves the complex challenges of the Rail Yards precinct including a number of heritage buildings, contamination and flood inundation. The plan resolves the existing heritage assets by giving them purpose and place, while maximising the areas for new development and prioritising public space and amenity to add to the vibrancy of the city.
