Silverwells was a development amalgamated with a pair of heritage listed houses to enable a suitable and more intense development to be achieved while at the same time safeguarding the future of the listed component, which became part of the community title for the project.
The mid-19th Century semi-detached houses both needed repair. New facilities were added at the rear including informal living spaces both indoor and outdoor, swimming pool and underground parking which was shared with the adjoining apartment building.
The two houses were conserved to a high standard with new landscaping to complete a suitable setting for them. The incorporation of the heritage elements within the whole development resulted in a better solution for both the old and new parts of the design.
