Holland Park Police Station
The site for the new Holland Park Police Station is located within Queensland’s fast growing South-East corner. Due to the increasing workload of the existing Holland Park Police Station and surrounding stations, a new facility, to replace the existing station, became a highly sought after and required community asset.
Contemporary police service philosophy is to provide buildings that are both sensitive to the individual and the community. This dual public face of a police station was recognised as an important functional requirement which was embodied in the design. The project responded to the challenge of designing a police station of integrity and respect, whilst also presenting an image of trust and friendliness within the community.
